    Texans Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

    Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Chris Brown has proven in the past that he is a legitimate NFL running back. He has been a 1,000-yard rusher. He’s found his way into the end zone 18 times in five seasons.
That means nothing this season, though. And Brown is well aware of that. Another season is about to get under way and […]

    Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

David Anderson strutted, swung his arms and high-fived every teammate in sight after catching a touchdown pass in the Houston Texans’ preseason opener. Sure, the game didn’t count. Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Deuce McAllister launched his comeback from a second knee reconstruction in three seasons, running into the heart of the Texans’ defensive line. It was a brief but promising return for the Saints’ all-time leading rusher, but not enough to keep Houston from staying perfect in the preseason. Matt Schaub was 14-of-16 passing for 187 yards […]

Offensive guard Jahri Evans joined the Saints as a fourth-round draft pick out of Division II Bloomsburg and impressively won a starting job by opening day of his rookie season. Now in his third year as a pro, he could afford to laugh off a scuffle with Texans defensive end Earl Chochran during a joint […]

Ryans found niche at early age (AP)

    Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

DeMeco Ryans began playing football in middle school and was the starting center for his first team. But when the star linebacker got a disciplinary suspension for half of a game, the coach plugged Ryans into the spot. It was an amazingly natural fit. “I mean, I made every tackle,” the Houston Texans All-Pro middle […]
