The rust is starting to wear off of cornerback Pacman Jones. And as he is getting better on the football field, he is starting to taste his impending return to the NFL after being suspended for the 2007 season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to rule on Jones’ reinstatement for the season opener. Just for good measure, however, Jones has sent a letter to the NFL requesting his reinstatement while also detailing everything he has done to get back in the NFL’s good graces.
“I’m feeling real good,” Jones said. “It’s just a letter on why I feel I should be reinstated. It’s my chance to respond, and we’ll see how it goes.”
